About LEAP
The mission of LEAP Detroit is to contribute to the efforts working to create a lead-safe Detroit by mobilizing the community, leveraging resources to create lead safe homes, conducting education and outreach, and by creating a web-based, user-friendly database of lead-addressed properties.
Objectives include: raising funds and/or leveraging resources of $2.1 million, conducting lead hazard control work in 138 units within zip codes 48213 and 48214, completing development of a lead-addressed homes registry and identifying a 'home' for the registry.
